In a recent interview by Uchida Masaki for Yahoo! News, Kimura Takuya is interviewed about life a year and a half after SMAP.

From his involvement in cinema, showing his support by visiting disaster stricken areas.

In the interview, Kimura talks about his new film “Kensatsugawa no Tsumibito” (to be released in theaters in Japan on August 24th), a film loosely based on another film adaptation, “The Lincoln Lawyer” (2011) starring Matthew McConaughey.

Kimura talks about working with co-star Ninomiya Kazunari (of ARASHI), going to areas stricken after the flood disaster in Hiroshima and how he called up other Johnny’s Jimusho members such as Nagaase Tomoya and Kokubun Taichi (both of TOKIO), Miyake Ken (of V6) and others and help deliver curry to people in the disaster areas.  How he felt that they can make people smile after a painful experience by being there, shaking their hand.

Kimura also discussed about how he keeps in shape and how he is on the scale every day and how he goes to the gym, especially after he was injured in a previous movie, “Blade of the Immortal” and trying to keep his body fit.

But also interviewing Kimura about taking on new projects such as acting on stage and doing new things, while having fun.
