Matsumura Kaori announced that she will be graduating from SKE48

SKE48 held its “SKE48 Request Hour Set List Best 100 2018 ~Member no Kazu Dake Kamikyoku wa aru~” at the Aichi Nagoya International Convention Center at Century Hall on the 15th.

After the first encore, Suda Kori (24) came out and brought out Matsumura Kaori (28), who surprised the audience by announcing her graduation.

While the final date is not set, many people in the audience showed their support by chanting her nickname “Kaotan”.

Matsumura joined SKE48 in 2009 and is a third generation member.  Her first involvement in a single was “Gugatsu no Sora” featured on the  AKB48 “Manatsu no Sounds Good!” single.

Back in 2013, she earned the title of “Lifetime Honorary SKE48 Kenkyuusei” as she made the decision to stay as a trainee member for the rest of her career at SKE48.  That same year, Matsumura released her first solo indie single, “Matsumurabu” produced by HKT48’s Sashihara Rino.

In 2014, she received a new title, “AKB48 Group Kenkyuuse Student Council President” and in 2015, she was voted #13 in the 7th Senbatsu Sousenkyo.
