[UPDATE] IZ*ONE’s reality show “IZ*ONE CHU” Episode 1 – Moving into the new Dorm, Photoshoots and traveling to Japan (Spoiler Alert)

IZ*ONE’s reality show “IZ*ONE CHU” episode 1 has premiered.

IZ*ONE (pronounced as “Eyez One”/IZ=12 and the meaning is 12 members coming together as ONE) features Jang Wonyoung, Miyawaki Sakura, Jo Yuri, Choi Yena, Ahn Yujin, Yabuki Nako, Kwon Eunbi, Kang Hyewon, Honda Hitomi, Kim Chaewon, Kim Minju and Lee Chaeyeon.

The 12 members are the finalists of Mnet’s “Produce48” which began with 48 trainees from South Korea and 48 members of Japan’s AKB48G (AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, HKT48, NGT48).

The show will be aired at 11:00 p.m. KST on Thursday night (for those in the US, that is 7:00 a.m. PST on Thursday).

Similar to “Produce48”, expect to see English subtitled videos to pop up on YouTube throughout today or next few days.

The show begins with each of the girls packing to move to their dorm.  Leaving home and we get to see (or hear) a few of their parents discuss their children becoming part of IZ*ONE.  And how far they have come since their audition back in January and February for “Produce48”.

We see the group coming in for their first meeting with the producers of “IZ*ONE CHU” and we see the girls taking part in the SALEWA photoshoot, various photoshoots including for their mini-album “COLOR*IZ”.

And the group visiting Japan in Honda Hitomi’s home prefecture of Tochigi.  With more to be continued in episode 2.

“IZ*ONE CHU” really shows us how the girls started to bond after “Produce48”.  And if anything, how fun the reality show really is because the many clips from behind-the-scenes.  For example, in Tochigi, fans who were happy to see Honda Hitomi, Yabuki Nako and Lee Chaeyeon introducing herself as Miyawaki-Chan to their fans and Sakura tapping Chaeyeon’s arm to stop.   Which was funny to see. And the girls going shopping and Kwon Eunbi spending a lot on shopping.

I was expecting to see the music video for “La Vie En Rose” and when it came, I was all excited, but it was just a short several second teaser but from what they were able to show, I’m looking forward to the complete music video.
