Hip-Hop group RIP SLYME to suspend all activities, official website closed on October 31st

Since 1998, RIP SLYME has been a hip-hop group entertaining audiences. The group consisting of Ryo-Z, Iimari, Pes, Su and DJ Fumiya made their official debut in 2001 with their first major single “Stepper’s Delight”.

In 2002, they received the MTV Video Music Awards Japan for “Best Newcomer” and “Best Hip-Hp Group”.

Unfortunately, last April, tabloid reports outed Su (44) as under the suspicion of having an affair with 23-year-old model Enatsu Shiori.  Su is married to singer/songwriter, Otsuka Ai.  Immediately after the reports came out, the group canceled an event appearance and the group continued on activities with just the four of them.

And today, there was an announcement on the RIP SLYME official website that the site is closing and their store will also be closing on October 31st.
