Otsuka Ai and RIP SLYME’s SU file for divorce

Otsuka Ai and RIP SLYME have divorced.

Otsuka announced on her fan club website, “I apologize for reporting on personal affairs, but I want to report to everyone who has been supportive of me.  I, Otsuka Ai, have dissolved my marital relationship with SU of RIP SLYME, the other day”.

Last April, tabloid reports outed Su (44) as under the suspicion of having an affair with 23-year-old model Enatsu Shiori.

Immediately after the reports came out, the group canceled an event appearance and the group continued on activities with just the four of them.  But on October 30th, it was announced on the RIP SLYME official website that the group would be putting a pause on their music activities and their website, fan club and store would be closing on Halloween Day.

SU made a public apology earlier this month in regards to how his personal affairs affected his bandmates:

Su wrote, “Everyone, it has been a long time and I have been away for a very long time. Our fan club has closed has closed, the musical activity of five people is put on pause. I’m responsible. I, Ootsuki Kazuto have kept silent for a long time. I know I am apologizing late and I apologize to Pesu, Irumari, Ryouji, Fumiya and staff. Please let me apologize once again. I am very sorry. To our fans, who cheered for us, I am sorry. I’m really sorry. It was a year and six months that I disgraced myself and felt the shame. I will continue to move forward every day, hoping for your support again and make Rip Slyme better. I will do my best for you. I apologize.”

As for Otsuka, she celebrated her 15th anniversary on September 9th.  On New Year’s Day, she will be releasing her best album “AI am BEST, too” and will go on a national tour in April.
