Hashimoto Kanna’s appearance for a festival event at Rikkyo University campus was canceled after people rushed outdoor stage and were injured

Actress Hashimoto Kanna is no doubt one of the more popular actresses in Japan and she was scheduled as a guest on the first day of the Ikebukuro Campus School Festival SPF to be held from at Rikkyo University.

As Hashimoto was to appear on the outdoor stage at 2:15 p.m., police made the decision that they conditions were not safe that the stage appearance had to be canceled.

本日、立教大学学園祭に出演させて頂く事を楽しみにしていたんですが、警察からも安全の確保が出来そうも無いとの理由で指導が入り主催者の方からイベントは中止にせざるを得ない旨を伺いました。
また、一部怪我を負われた方もいるとお聞きし大変心配をしており、心よりお見舞い申し上げます。

私もこの日の為に準備をして参りましたので、なんとか実施の運びとなる事を願っておりましたし、今日のステージを楽しみにして会場に足をお運び頂いた皆様とお会い出来なかった事を心より残念に思います。
この後の学園祭が滞りなく無事進行してゆきます事を願っております。

Hashimoto wrote on Twitter that police were unable to secure the safety at the area and the organizer spoke to her about canceling her appearance.

Hashimoto also wrote, “I am worried because I hear a few people were injured.  I apologize from my heart.  I prepared for this day but I am sorry I was unable to see the people who came out to the venue to see me.  I was looking forward to the stage today and I’m sorry”.
