BuzzFeed’s Interview with “Nisekoi” actresses Nakajo Ayumi and Shimazaki Haruka

The live-action adaptation of the popular Shonen Jump manga series “Nisekoi” was released in theaters on December 21st.

BuzzFeed recently interviewed actress Nakajo Ayumi (who plays Kirisaki Chihiro) and actress/former AKB48-member Shimazaki Haruka (who plays Tachibana Marika).  Here are a few excerpts from the interview which you can read it in full here.

Nakajo was asked if she wore a blonde wig for the role, Nakajo said that she dyed her hair blonde and it was her first time dying her hair.  But since she was shooting “Nisekoi” and another movie, once “Nisekoi” completed, she had to recolor it back to her original hair color, so she didn’t have much time to enjoy her blonde hair.

When asked why not wear a wig, Nakajo said, “I had a lot of action scenes, one where I had to jump into a pool and felt it would be too difficult to wear a wig, so she decided to dye her hair”.  Shimazaki agreed that wearing a wig would have been problematic.

When asked what they talked about while shooting the film, Shimazaki said talked about how cold it was or how hungry they were or how sleepy they were.

Nakajo was asked about playing Kirsaki Chihiro and if she liked the character?  Nakajo said, “There were many parts that I could sympathize with, because I’m also rough”.
