Utada Hikaru released her first new single in 11 years titled “Face My Fears” on January 18th.
The single produced by Skrillex and dance producer/singer Poo Bear was distributed on Apple Music, Spotify, etc. weeks and in two weeks after the single’s release, it has received over 10 million streams worldwide.
Meanwhile, the music video has received over 4.6 million views on YouTube and appeared on the Billboard Hot 100.
The song is the opening theme for the video game “KINGDOM HEARTS III” and the game has shipped more than five million copies. The figure, which included digital and physical sales, makes the video the fastest selling game in the series.
