Nikkatsu will no longer release the film “Zenaku no Kuzu” starring Arai Hirofumi

Nikkatsu has released a statement on its website in regards to the film “Zenaku no Kuzu” (“Waste of Good and Evil”) which the company produced and were to distribute.

Nikkatsu stated, “As a result of consultation with the various parties concerned, we decided to stop distribution of the film ‘Zenaku no Kuzu’ in which Arai Hirofumi appears in.  We sincerely apologize to everyone who has supported this work, the staff and production staff and everyone who appeared in the film”.

The statement comes a week after Arai Hirofumiwas arrested for sexual assault.
