The Next Phase of the English Version of Fate/Grand Order Begins as the Curtain Rises on Pseudo-Singularity I. The stage: Shinjuku
LOS ANGELES February 25, 2019 – The FGO PROJECT, a joint project from TYPE-MOON, Aniplex Inc., and DELiGHTWORKS Inc., launched the first chapter of Fate/Grand Order – Epic of Remnant with Pseudo-Singularity I: Quarantined Territory of Malice, Shinjuku – Shinjuku Phantom Incident. The highly anticipated release was announced on Sunday at the FGO Special Panel featuring the creative producer of the FGO PROJECT, Yosuke Shiokawa, and voice actor Satoshi Tsuruoka at the Fate/Grand Order U.S.A. Tour’s Los Angeles kickoff event. The newest chapter from the popular mobile game sets the stage in the iconic Japanese ward of Shinjuku, where a murder case of unprecedented scale has ignited in a prison district cut off from the outside world.
Fate/Grand Order has captivated fans across the world with its riveting storyline, beginning with Part 1’s climactic story chronicling the Incineration of Humanity. The release of Epic of Remnant brings players to Part 1.5, which consists of four chapters that will lead into Part 2. Following the Shinjuku Phantom Incident, fans can look forward to subsequent chapters including Women of Agartha, Seven Duels of Swordmasters, and Heretical Salem.
The release also introduces the new Limited Time Servant, ★5 (SSR) Archer of Shinjuku, who plays a major role in Pseudo-Singularity I: Quarantined Territory of Malice, Shinjuku, as well as new Servants – ★4 (SR) Assassin of Shinjuku and ★4 (SR) Avenger of Shinjuku. Powerful enemies will also make appearances, possessing a new and different HP mechanic, which will require players to deplete the HP gauge multiple times in order to defeat each enemy. Additionally, Servants with an “Evil” alignment will receive a bonus to Bond Points gained when clearing quests within Pseudo-Singularity I.
In addition to the Master Level cap being increased from 130 to 140, a new soundtrack feature has been added to the game, which includes music used in quest cutscenes and battles throughout the main story as well as music from limited events. Item exchanges will be required to unlock each music track, and availability dependent on story progression, prior participation in certain events, or having certain Servants summoned.
