Japan Hollywood Network moving to channel 44.1 (KXLA) on March 31st, Japanese programming on KSCI Ch 18.1 to end on March 24th

For decades, there has been Japanese programming on KSCI (Ch 18.1) entertaining viewers based in Los Angeles County and Orange County but with viewers desiring to unify the channels of Japanese TV stations and wanting to extend broadcasting times, the Japan Hollywood Network will begin free broadcasting on channel 44.1 (KXLA) at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 31, 2019.  This means that Japanese entertainment broadcasts on KSCI Ch 18.1 will end on March 24th.

Also announced is that the TV Asahi drama “Aibou: Tokyo Detective Duo 17,” will kick off on March 31st at 7 p.m. with English subtitles.
