Denki Groove frontman/actor Pierre Taki arrested for suspected cocaine use

Denki Groove frontman, actor and musician Pierre Taki (Taki Masanori, 51) was arrested for suspected cocaine use by the Ministry of Health, Labor, Welfare Bureau in the Kanto district.

Pierre Taki was arrested in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo on March 12th.  According to the drug control department, at 6:00 p.m. on the same day, they searched the house of the suspect and while no drugs were found, a random urine test was conducted and he tested positive for cocaine.

The department is now investigating where he got it and where he uses it.

Taki has appeared in films such as “Shin Godzilla”, “Sunny/32”, “Linda Linda Linda”, “One Million Yen Girl”, “Rakugo”, “Parasyte: Part 1”, “Attack on Titan” and many more films and TV shows including the current NHK Series “Idaten”.
