Akimoto Yasushi to produce all-girls band audition TV program

Akimoto Yasushi, the producer known for his work with AKB48, SKE48, IZ*ONE will be producing an audition show titled “Locker ni nan, ireru (What did you put in the locker?) to recruit for a girls band who will be known as “The Coin Lockers”.

The program will air on midnight to 1:00 a.m. every Monday on Tokyo MX starting on April 8th.  MC’s will be Koyabu Kazutoyo and Fujimoto Toshifumi (FUJIWARA).

The first broadcast will feature the tense audition which took place back in September through December and introduce all 40 members.

The band, The Coin Lockers, will make their debut early summer of this year.

The show selects members based on the world view for each song, so its entirely a new girls band each time.  Featuring 40 members with their own individual style, musical experience and different age.
