C-JeS Entertainment terminated their exclusive contract with JYJ’s Yoochun

When JYJ member Park Yoochun broke up with his fiance, Hwang Hana, back in May it hasn’t been the smoothest of breakups.

Hwang Hana posted on February 28th ranted on her bad encounter with a man (who many speculated as Yoochun) as involved with sex crimes, animal cruelty, assault on women and fraud.  Also, that the person got her into Philopon, a type of methamphetamine.

On April 4th, Hwang was arrested for failure to take part in a subpoena by police which re-opened an investigation from September2015 for allegedly supplying .5 grams of meth to a person known as “A”.

According to media reports that she admitted to part of drug allegations against her and confessed she used injected illegal drugs in the past.

On April 10th, Yoochun had a press conference trying to say that the person Hwang was talking about wasn’t him.  He has never used drugs and said that what he did take was sleeping pills to help him sleep due to distress.

While Yoochun defended himself and his management C-JeS Entertainment believed in his innocence, the National Institute of Science and Forensic Research Institute found a positive reaction during test results for Yoochun which was found from his hair.

According to news reports, C-JeS Entertainment has indicated that they will be terminating their exclusive contract with the JYJ member and that Yoochun has retired from the entertainment industry.

Park Yoochun is best known as a former member of the boyband TVXQ/DBSK and has appeared in numerous dramas.  In 2009, he, Jaejoong and Junsu filed a lawsuit against S.M. Entertainment that their 13-year contract was excessively long and that scheduels were held out without the confirmation or permission of members.  Also, that group earnings were not fairly distributed among each member.  The group went on hiatus in 2010 and the three formed JYJ while Yunho and Changmin released a joint statement in support of S.M. Entertainment and have since continued on as TVXQ.

While JYJ would continue from 2010-2011, since then each member have pursued solo activities.

Yoochun would win “Best New Actor” in 2014 and 2015 for his performance in Haemoo.
