aiko fans are worried that her singles collection limited edition album is too cheap!

Typically, one of the biggest complaints you hear about Japanese music albums are how expensive they are.

But in the case of aiko’s four-disc collection album “Ai no Uta” which will be released on June 5th, fans are worried because her album is super cheap!

The limited edition of the album (four discs + 1 DVD) is on sale for Y3,510 and the four-disc version is Y3,780 and contains her debut song “Ashita” from July 1998 up to her 38th single “Straw” released last May.   So, the 5 disc version is much cheaper!

aiko wrote on Twitter, “aiko no Uta. The price is cheap isn’t it? I think so too! So, please buy it!”.

aiko took to SNS to explain the pricing, “Can you make it at this price? There might be people who thought the price is incorrect but it’s not. However, it is a result of thinking how to reach a greater number of people. I want to convey it, deliver it and sing for a long time! I want the CD to be purchased!”.

While aiko has released her best albums “Summary 1” and “Summary 2” in 2011, this is the first time she is releasing an album which comes with all her single songs.  As she celebrated her 20th anniversary in 2018, this is the definitive aiko album release.
