TWICE’s “Fancy You” surpasses BLACKPINK and IZ*ONE in first week album sales, best first week sales ever by a girl’s group

When it comes to album sales in South Korea, it’s been a battle between TWICE, BLACKPINK and IZ*ONE.

For 2018 albums, IZ*ONE’s “COLOR*IZ” is the best selling album with 154,943 sold (as of April 28, 2019), BLACKPINK’s “Square Up” is second with 152,688 copies sold and TWICE’s “Yes or Yes” with 151,985 sold.

For 2019 albums, TWICE’s new album “Fancy You” has surpassed BLACKPINK and IZ*ONE with the best first week sales on Hanteo for a girl group ever with 151,051 copies sold.  BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” sold 146,094 copies and IZ*ONE’s “HEART*IZ” has sold 132,109.

Nevertheless, all three groups are doing magnificently sales wise and for TWICE, it’s another awesome accomplishment!
