Nakagawa Shoko’s name is typically associated with her anison but lately, Nakagawa has been appearing in numerous programs that deal with the Tokyo 2020 Olympics mascot announcement, politics and now, in regards to the Emperor’s abdication.
Needless to say, each time when she does appear on these shows, people on social media would question “Why Shokotan?” and for this special, because of the high viewership, many were surprised to see Nakagawa among the older veterans but were more impressed on how she carried herself on television.
Nakagawa posted on Twitter about appearing on the live program on the last day of Heisei and how nervous she was.
pic.twitter.com/PbAwsPwCqh
