Studio Istolia posted a 592 million yen loss ending March 2019

When Square Enix put a kabosh on “Project Prelude Rune” which was and RPG project being developed by Studio Istolia, not long after Baba Hideo left both Studio Istolia and Square Enix due to “change of management policy”, many people were saddened.

After all, Baba Hideo was known for producing nearly every “Tales” series and when he took the reign as president of Studio Istolia for Square Enix, many fans were looking forward to this new RPG.

Studio Istollia posted their financial statement for the fiscal year ending on March 2019 and it was a significant loss of Y592 million yen (almost $5.5 million US).

As for Studio Istolia, the company appears to have been dissolved and is no longer featured on the group company list of Square Enix.  The main website is now automatically forwarding to the Square Enix website.
