MIYAVI performed the American national anthem at “Japan Night” at Dodgers Stadium

MIYAVI has been living in Los Angeles for the past five years.

As the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the rock artist performed the American national anthem for “Japan Night” at Dodgers Stadium on July 24th (a game featuring the Los Angeles Dodgers against the California Angels).

In addition, MIYAVI performed the song “NO SLEEP TILL TOKYO”.

MIYAVI said, “I am honored to be invited to Japan Night to celebrate Japan-US friendship today. Today, I would like to express my appreciation for America diversity through music. I moved to the United States with my family five years ago and it was an environment that I was not used to, as I was raised in Japan. But this country has welcomed us and we are grateful. I play music but music and sports keeps us united. I want to embody that today. And the team I like is the Dodgers.
