Kyoto Animation’s “Violet Evergarden” animated film will be released in theaters on September 6th as scheduled

Kyoto Animation announced that the animated film for “Violet Evergarden” (titled “Violet Evergarden Gaiden – Eien to Jido Shuki Ningyo”) will stay on track and will be released in theaters on September 6th.

Many were not sure if the film would be in theaters after the cancellation of the upcoming animated films “Free!” and “Hibike! Euphonium” due to the Kyoto Animation arson tragedy on July 18th which left 35 people dead and 33 people injured.

News of the animated film’s release in September has led to the tweet receiving over 49K retweets and over 79K likes.
