Former AKB48 Team 8 member Cho Kurena to kick off her solo music career

Former AKB48 Team 8 member Cho Kurena, who graduated back in February 2019, will be embarking on her career as a solo artist.

On August 30th, she will perform her first premium acoustic live (which was sold out with a minute of release) in which she will be performing original songs since graduating from AKB48.

Cho said, “At the beginning of July, when we released the live tickets, I was a bit hesitant because nothing was decided just yet, but when I heard that it was sold out, I got a little worried and asked if I can do a live performance. But now, I have decided the content and rehearsed for the actual performance, so it has become a pleasure. I want to sing about 9 to 10 songs in about 50 minutes. The songs are composed by me. If there is time, I will write another song. The set list is about 70-80% complete”.

Cho tweeted, “Today, I’ve been working on live rehearsals. I’m so excited about the production… I can’t help it!”.
