AAA’s Nishijima Takahiro underwent throat surgery to remove three vocal cord polyps

AAA’s Nishijima Takahiro (32) underwent throat surgery this month.

According to officials, after appearing at the music festival a-nation on the 17th, Nishima was admitted to a hospital in Tokyo and underwent polyp excision surgery.

Back when Nishijima was on his soul tour, at the Tokyo Dome performance on April 24th and 25th, he felt an ache in his throat and was feel uncomfortable.  Several notes, he was unable to sing because it was too difficult and was unable to sing certain notes.

He had a medical examination after the tour was completed and it as learned that they found bleeding in his entire vocal cords and it had been going on for a month and a half.  The doctor advised for him to have surgery immediately, but due to the AAA national fan meeting tour which lasted from June 15th to August 7th, Nishijima wanted to delay the surgery.

Because of a vacancy for surgery on the day of the a-nation performance, after the performance, he was taken to the hospital to have laryngeal microsurgery to remove three vocal cord polyps.

AAA’s concert performance at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka on November 16th is still on schedule and Nishijima will do his best to perform higher notes and a clear voice, but for now, he is doing his best to recover.
