SKE48’s Matsui Jurina suspends activities due to poor health

SKE48 announced that Matsui Jurina (22) will be suspending activities due to poor health.

Since Matsui Jurina winning the Senbatsu Sosenkyo in 2018 (and collapsing hours before the event, while she returned, she was barely able to perform), SKE48 management pulled Matsui from various events to give her time to recover.

According to the announcement, Matsui has been in poor health and has missed several activities and she is currently doing her best to recover, but she is still not in a perfect state.

Matsui said she discussed with staff and decided it would be difficult for her to work at the moment and she will need to rest for a certain period of time.

In addition, all private e-mail and SNS updates will also be suspended.
