SKE48’s Takayanagi Akane announces graduation

SKE48’s Takayanagi Akane (27) announced at a midnight performance of the group’s 11th anniversary of the group’s theatrical debut at SKE48 Theater that she will be graduating from the group.

Takayanagi joined the group as a second generation student in 2009 and for five years, was the leader of Team KII.

Takayanagi was featured in four AKB48 singles and was also a concurrent NMB48 Team BII member for one year (2014).

Takayanagi said, “I, Takayanagi Akane decided to graduate from SKE48.  I have been with SKE for ten years, going on eleven.  I love idols and I wanted to be one for a long time and decided I wanted to be here.  I decided to graduate, sometime in the spring”.
