Johnny’s WEST member Hamada Takahiro injured on set

TBS announced that Johnny’s WEST member Hamada Takahiro (30, first person on the left in photo) was injured on the set.

Hamada who is scheduled to appear on “SASUKE2019 New Year’s Eve” was inspecting the set and taking part in a race competition on November 20th and fell and when he landed, twisted his left foot and was injured.

He was examined at the hospital and he was diagnosed with a fracture of his distal left tibia (fractured ankle) and will need to rest his foot for two months.

The area is 10 meters and length and a height of 1.8 meters (5.9 feet).  Hamada lost his balance and landed on a mat at the landing site but his left foot was twisted and injured.

TBS said, “The competition has been held five times in the past and this time, we conducted a preliminary simulation and paid close attention to safety, but we apologize for Hamada’s injury”.

Hamada said, “I was very excited about the experience, I fell and broke my left ankle.  I’m very disappointed but I’m fine with the exception of the broken ankle, so I will try to heal and restore my ankle as quickly as possible”.
