Nogizaka46’s Shiraishi Mai announced that she is graduating from the group

Nogizaka46’s Shiraishi Mai (27) announced on January 6th that she will be graduating from the group with the release of their 25th single on March 25th.

Nogizaka46’s ace has had a successful eight years, no scandal and was a leader that inspired her fellow members and newer members coming into the group.

While the exact final graduation date has not been announced yet, Shiraishi wants to do a graduation concert.

According to Shiraishi, she had been thinking of graduation in the past two years, but last summer, she said she felt she wanted to graduate in 2020.

Shiraishi also said she wants to support Nogizaka46 and watch the growth of the juniors.
