Okai wrote, “I’m Okai Chisato! I opened a Okai family Twitter! Today the Okai Family Fan Club was launched. Japan is in a difficult situation right now, and I hope we can cheer everyone up as much as possible, and I hope to make you smile in various ways”.
For the first event, the family will be doing a Zoom drinking party. She also said she will make an important announcement regarding future activities.
In addition, Okai launched her own Instagram:
Since April 2019, Okai Chisato has not been seen from the entertainment industry, partly due to her scandal involving an alleged affair reported by Bunshun that she had with pro cyclist Mitani Ryuki, who was married with children at the time (which would lead to a divorce in June 2019).
J.PROOM which is part of Up-Front and represents many former Hello! Project starts, has announced that they accepted Okai’s retirement from the entertainment industry and will be ending their contract with her.
