“TERRACE HOUSE: TOKYO 2019-2020” cast member/pro surfer Kanao Reo will ride a pink surfboard for the year to fulfill a promise he made to Kimura Hana to take her to the ocean.

Kanao posted a photo on Instagram of him at the beach with the pink/white surfboard and another photo with Hana holding the surfboard:

I started practicing today after the first day of quarantine.

I will now go on forward!

Hana would be mad at me if I kept worrying about the past lol.

We will shine for Hana!

From now on, this year, for my surfboard, I decided to use Hana’s trademark color, pink.

So, I can bring Hana to various oceans.

She said she loves the ocean, and I told her we would go to the ocean together.

I’ll keep my promise.

Always.
