Komuro Tetsuya comes out of retirement to compose/arrange Nogizaka46’s new song “Route 246”

It was announced on July 15th that retired musician/producer Komuro Tetsuya will be returning back to the music industry and composed/arranged Nogizaka46’s new song “Route 246” (which will be released on July 24th).

This is a collaboration work between producer Akimoto Yasushi (62) who will wrote the lyrics to the new song.

Komuro’s last song before retiring was “Kaze yo Fuke!” for the idol group Last Idol in April 2018.

Komuro Tetsuya is known for being part of the group TM Network in the ’80s alongside Utsunomiya Takashi and Kine Naoto.  Also, creating the music phenomenon of the mid-90’s in which many artists and groups that he produced had chart top singles at #1, such as Shinohara Ryoko, Uchida Yuki, Amuro Namie, TRF, hitomi, Kahala Tomomi, globe, H-Jungle with t and many more who became part of what was known as the TK Family.

Nogizaka46’s Saito Asuka (21) said, “I’m more than happy that Komuro-san made a song for Nogizaka46 and the song was full of Komuro-san’s feelings.  I was really happy.  Nogizaka46 is looking forward to seeing how people react to the tune of this song!”.

“Route 246” read as “Route to 46” will be released as a limited edition single at midnight on July 24th.  It will be aired on Nippon Broadcasting’s Nogizaka46 All Night Nippon at 1:00 a.m. on the 22nd and will be performed for the first time on TV Asahi’s “Music Station 3 1/2 hour Special”.
