Sega Akihabara Building 2 Arcade will be shutting its doors on August 30th

The Sega Akihabara Building 2 Arcade will be shutting its doors on August 30th.

The arcade which has been around since October 2003 (originally as Akihabara Kigo), is among one of the visited Sega arcade buildings in the vicinity.

On August 1st, a sign was posted inside the building with the note:

“Notice of closure

Thank you for your continued patronage. We are sorry to announce that this branch, Sega Akihabara Building 2, will be closing.

Our last day of operations will be Sunday, August 30.

The entire staff wishes to express, from the bottom of our hearts, our sincere gratitude at the loving support you have given our establishment for so many years.”

It’s important to note that the other Sega buildings in Akihabara will remain open, it’s just the Building 2 that will be closing.
