SEGA gaming venues in Japan will be renamed to GiGO (Get into the Gaming Oasis)

Kataoka Takashi of GENDA GiGO Entertainment announced that the company will be renaming the SEGA gaming venues throughout Japan to GiGO (Get into the Gaming Oasis). In addition, the company name of GENDA SEGA Entertainment has been changed to GENDA GiGO Entertainment.

The rename will begin in Ikebukuro, Akihabara, Shinjuku and then all of Japan.

Kataoka Takashi is the chairman of GENDA and GENDA GiGO Entertainment.  He was the former President of AEON Fantasy, AEON Cinema Company/GiGO/SEGA Shop/GOTON!/LIFT. Create One Entertainment Company.

On December 30, the company acquired an 85.1 stake in SEGA Entertainment from the SEGA Group.  They have since purchased the remaining 14.9% stake and now own it 100%.
