"KINGDOM" mangaka Hara Yasuhisa clears the air and announced that he got divorced back in March

Kojima Ruriko (26) has been receiving a lot of heat when tabloids outted that she and “KINGDOM” mangaka Hara Yasuhisa (45) are in a relationship together.

Kojima was on a radio show last month and was asked about the tabloid photographs which Kojima confirmed their relationship.

But there have been a lot of hate comments on SNS towards Kojima about breaking up their marriage and people writing they were sorry for Hara’s wife.

Kojima took to Twitter and wrote, “You shouldn’t slander people on social media and say it’s not the same as direct damage, I want you to stop blaming a person’s personality and way of life of what you are imagining. I’m very sad”.

Many fans of Kojima worried about her being targeted by hate comments and Kojima wrote, “I am happy to be able to live peacefully, healthy, and without fear everyday”.

This has prompted Hara to post on Twitter to announce, “I was divorced in march of this year. I couldn’t cherish my family because I didn’t properly work with my ex-wife who supported me for my work. I am very sorry for the fact that my dishonest act hurt others. I deeply regret it. I regret that I was disloyal to my family. I will live with compassion from here on forward. To my readers and people concerned, I know many readers of my work may be disappointed. I am sorry for making you feel uncomfortable. I sincerely apologize”.
