Actress Ashina Sei found dead

Actress Ashina Sei (36) has been found dead.

According to her management, Ashina was discovered by a relative in her apartment in Shinjuku on the morning of the 14th.

Ashina made her debut as a model in 2002 and later became an actress.  She has starred in series such as “Kamen Rider Hibiki”, “Yae no Sakura” and earlier this year starred in the TBS drama “Theseus no Fune”.

Media is reporting that her death may be suicide, which would increase the number of Japanese entertainers who have taken their life in 2020.
