“Fist of the North Star”, “Mobile Suit Gundam” seiyuu Ginga Banjou tested positive for the novel coronavirus

Voice actor Ginga Banjou, known for his voice work on anime titles such as “Fist of the North Star” (Souther), “Mobile Suit Gundam” (Gihren Zabi), “Armored Trooper Votoms” (Kotta Ruske) and many more, including video games such as “Dead or Alive” (Bayman), “Metal Gear Solid” (Liquid Snake) and many more titles, has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

On November 5th, Ginga felt pain in his throat and went to the hospital that day.  He took a PCR test which was positive.  Currently, he has no symptoms but a fever and cough and is stable.

Aoni Production said they understand the health status of all actors and staff and is following the rules of medical experts and government under the guidance of the medical institution and giving top priority to ensure the safety of their customers, actors and staff in order to prevent the infection and spread of the virus.
