200 women choose their top five products at Costco Japan

In a survey for the women’s online publication version of “An An”, 200 women chose their most popular products to purchase at Costco Japan.

Costco is a store where you can purchase groceries or other items in bulk.  For many Japanese, Costco is wonderful because of its prices and how much you can get for the money but Costco is only located at few locations throughout Japan.

When asked about their top 5 products, many felt that paper towels for 12 rolls at Y2,498 was the best.  In the comments, one said, “Even if it gets wet, it’s still very good”, another said “It’s durable and cleans well”. One said that “I like the fact that it can be used easily and one roll lasts awhile”.

Many purchase Costco’s private brand, “KIRKLAND Signature” and women say it’s the top thing they purchase.

The next is toilet paper at 30 rolls for Y2,648.  Many housewives feel its thick and fluffy, not thing and fragrance-free.  Also KIRKLAND Signature, it’s listed as one of the top things to purchase (not just in Japan but worldwide).

The next is Ziplock Bags for 216 bags for Y1728.  Many housewives feel the brand is solid and that it lasts a long time.  And feels its great to freeze food.

The next is detergent/fabric softener.  Many feel it’s worth purchasing as you get a lot for your money.

And last, women chose sanitary napkins as their top purchase because they are offered in large quantities and you don’t have to buy it too often.
