Goto Maki, Yamamoto Koji and Kanjiya Shihori tested positive for COVID-19

Several agencies are announcing their talent have tested positive for COVID-19.

Japan is currently experiencing an uptick of the novel coronavirus and is said to be experiencing a fourth wave of infections due to the variants and lack of mass vaccinations.

Avex Management announced on April 13th that Goto Maki has tested positive.

Goto had symptoms of a fever on the 11th and took a PCR test on the 12th.  She tested positive on the 13th.  According to Avex, Goto is “mildly ill and will continue to concentrate on treatment under the guidance of health centers and medical institutions”.

Yamamoto Koji announced on his official website that he tested positive for the novel coronavirus.  Currently, Yamamoto is not experiencing any particular symptoms and is asymptomotic.  He will do what he can to not spread the virus and work on recovery per the instructions of the health center.

Yamamoto was scheduled to appear at the Theater Cocoon Performance Shibuya de Aimashou (April 18-25).  He has had no contact with performers or staff.

Actress Kanjiya Shihori’s agency announced that she has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Kanjiya had body pains on the morning of April 10th and had a PCR test taken.  On April 11th, it was discovered that she tested positive.

Shihori is currently stable and will continue to be under the guidance of the medical institution and the health center.
