Award-winning actress Hashimoto Ai performed the 1975 Matsumoto Takashi song “Momen no Handkerchief” (Cotton Handkerchief) for the Tsutsumi Kyohei tribute album “Tsutsumi Kyohei SONG BOOK” which was released on March 24th and performed it live on TV Asahi’s “Music Station 3 Hours Special”. The song was released as a digital single on February 19th.
But it was the Christmas Day First Take performance that became a big hit. Hashimoto performed the song on “THE FIRST TAKE”, along with Takebe Satoshi, the producer of the “Tsutsumi Kyohei SONG BOOK” and was the guest pianist in this one-shot video.
The video received 3.6 million views and now the First Take performance will be released as a digital single on April 28th.
