Is Honda Hitomi planning for a career in South Korea? Or will she stay in Japan as a member of AKB48 Team 8?

Japanese media are wondering if Honda Hitomi will stay in Japan and continue as an idol singer for AKB48 Team 8 or will she return back to Korea?

Honda Hitomi would become known for her role as singer/dancer for global pop group IZ*ONE.

The day before the final day of IZ*ONE, Honda passed her driver’s test in South Korea and got her driver’s license making many Japanese media wonder if she’s planning to return to South Korea soon? And why would she go through the trouble of getting her license in South Korea?

And there is no doubt that Honda has come a long way as a member of AKB48 Team 8 and what she did in the 2 years and 6 months with IZ*ONE. But because Honda was well-known as a member of IZ*ONE, it doesn’t mean she would receive the same amount of attention if she does return to AKB48 Team 8 and she would have to compete with other members of AKB48G to be part of the main song for a single.

While she was in Korea, She was grateful to her fans attending events that were set up for her and showed her kindness to staff and members. Even quickly learning and speaking Korean.

She would be a welcomed addition to another female K-Pop group if she does choose to return.

But with a radio show in Japan, many AKB48 fans and her fellow members have been waiting for her to return.

But she is also very intelligent and it was often discussed that while on “Produce48” and as a member of IZ*ONE, Honda was often studying and it is a possibility that she could end up pursuing her college education.

It will remain to be seen what Honda Hitomi will do in the near future.
