TOKIO’s Joshima Shigeru to star in the NTV drama “Samuraikaasan”

TOKIO’s Joshima Shigeru (50) will be starring in the October 2021 NTV drama “Samuraikaasan” (Samurai Mother).

The manga drama adaptation is based on the manga by Itabamina which began in 2005 on Shueisha’s “Chorus” which produced 8 volumes in 2011, a sequel titled “Samuraikaasan Plus” which lasted from 2011 to 2015 for Shueisha’s “Cocohana” and “Samuraikaasan NEO” which began in April 2021 and is still ongoing.

The story revolves around Okan, a mother full of love, even though she is ridiculed by her rebellious high school teenage son.
