Former SKE48 member, actress Kimoto Kanon will be retiring from the entertainment industry

Former SKE48 member Kimoto Kanon, who is currently an actress, made an announcement on her Twitter and Instagram that she is retiring from the entertainment industry.

Kimoto said in her statement, “I will retire from the entertainment world on May 31st today. I had a valuable experience for about 10 years, and it was a fun and happy. Thank you very much to all the staff who supported me a lot, and above all to everyone who supported me!”

Kimoto made her debut in September 2010 and became an SKE48 4th gen member at the age of 13. She has been one of the core members of SKE48 and also was a member of HKT48 since February 2014. She graduated from the group in December 2017 and has been active as an actress.

本日5月31日をもちまして芸能界を引退させて頂きます。約10年間貴重な経験をさせて頂き、楽しく幸せな日々でした。たくさん支えてくださったスタッフの皆さん、そして何より応援してくださった皆さん本当にありがとうございました！少しでも早くこの状況が良くなりますように。
