With numerous members of the 48 groups testing positive for the novel coronavirus and nine members of HKT48 having tested positive, the group has declined to appear at the event @JAM EXPO 2020-2021 which they were scheduled to appear on August 27th.
@JAM EXPO 2020-2021 is an idol event scheduled to be held at Yokohama Arena from the 27th through 29th.
The statement is as follows, “Due to the State of Emergency announcement and the surge of the novel coronavirus, we have to decline our appearance. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused to the people involved at @JAM EXPO and the fans who have been looking forward to the appearance”.
