Music fans were angered by no non-woven mask rules for a music event

The GLOBAL ARK 2021-The 10th Anniversary was held at Oze Hotaka Plateau- Hotaka Ranch Land from August 27-29th.

But as part of the dress code for the music event was, “Fashionable mask is one event in the party. Masks are also a part of fashion these days. Let’s enjoy mask fashion by wearing cool masks such as design masks, handmade masks, cool summer masks, cool masks, neck gaiters, etc. Please decorate the venue gorgeously while preventing infection” and the plain non-woven masks were NG (no good).

SOme say that because the event is held outdoors, it is well-ventilated and there is no need for non-woven masks to be used for the event.

But on August 18th, in Japan, 38 infectious specialists and doctors issued an emergency statement calling for people to wear thorough non-woven masks. And that urethane and cloth masks were ineffective in preventing the inhalation of aerosols with a particle size of 5 um or less, which are directly sucked in the lower respiratory tract and increase the risk of pneumonia.

The organizer of the event told Jomo Shimbun, “There are people who don’t wear masks in the first place. We thought that we would motivate them to wear fashionable masks firmly. It’s hot in the daytime and it gets stuffy with non-woven fabrice. Many people take it off or put it on their noses. However, the impact of the NG expression was strong”.
