What could be more embarrassing than being caught peeping into the girls’ locker room? Being caught inside the girls’ locker room inside a locker! And yet, that’s where Kimio Suga finds himself! And even if it was by accident, as soon as that door opens and he’s discovered, he’ll be branded a pervert and maybe even suspended! Except… the girl who finds him is Nozomi Komine, who lives in the house across from his, and she covers for him!

Unfortunately, that isn’t an act of kindness, it’s the prelude to blackmail! Because Nozomi has certain games that she’d like to play and Kimio’s location and guilt make him the perfect plaything! And if that’s not bad enough, the situation gets really out of control when she starts bringing other girls in to play with her toy!

Honno Wako is amangaka who created a manga series titled “Nozoki Anna” (2009-2013).

A series about two college students who live in the same apartment complex and are connected by a small peephole between their rooms. He peeps on her, she finds a way to blackmail him and eventually the two form a pact to allow each other to peek on each other.

The manga would lead to an OVA anime series and also into a live-action film.

This would lead to a short spinoff manga series titled “Nozo x Kimi” created in 2014-2015 (and would also lead to a 3-episode OVA series).

The story takes place in the same apartment complex, nearly the same situation but this time focusing on Komine Nozomi and Suga Kimio.

While Nozomi is a quiet student, Kimio is an average guy who catches his two perverted friends sniffing girls panties in the girls locker room. He tries to tell them to get out, but when he accidentally trips, the female students are about to go into the locker room to change and Kimio hides in a locker.

The locker happens to belong to Nozomi and while Nozomi keeps it quiet, unfortunately Kimio is blackmailed and because they live right across from each other, she creates a pact that they have to flash each other.

Kimio agrees to Nozomi’s flash pact but how long can he abide to the pact?

“Nozo x Kimi” is presented in 1080p High Definition. Colors are vibrant, black levels are nice and deep and I saw no major artifacts at all.

AUDIO & SUBTITLES:

As for lossless audio, “Nozo x Kimi” is presented in Japanese DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 with English subtitles. The series is front channel driven but dialogue and music is clear. For those who want a more immersive soundtrack can easily switch their receiver for stereo on all channels.

Japanese dialogue is well-acted. It’s important for people to know that there is no English dub included with this Blu-ray release.

When I saw the Blu-ray cover art for “Nozo x Kimi”, I think one can easily tell from the suggestive artwork that this is going to be a perverted anime.

Personally, I have not watched or read “Nozoki Ana” other than see the live-action trailer (which was perverted), so I figured, things would be the same with “Nozo x Kimi”.

And sure enough, it was a perverted anime series, albeit enjoyable and short.

But when you start watching the series, the first thing I thought that was “Nozo x Kimi” is going to be a banal anime series about a girl that is bullying a weak teenage boy, and this is her sort of cheap thrill.

From the first episode, which revolves around an extremely endowed student named Makino Yuuki, you wonder how Nozomi is going to fix her low-self esteem because of her big boobs (and that the boys at school can’t help but stare at her for them). At first, you are thinking that Nozomi is up to no good, because she’s getting Kimio involved but in her own weird way, she’s trying to help Makino, through Kimio.

The second episode revolves around a ghost that is haunting the changing room in the girl’s swimming pool. Is it a pervert? Or is it Kimio? Nozomi and ghost loving character, Watanuki Mirei try to find out the truth.

And the last episode revolves around a popular cheerleader named Sonoda Michiru, who pretends she’s very cool but in truth, she becomes Nozomi’s nightmare.

While the anime series seems its about perverted situations (which there are many), the storyline shows how these two students, gradually become closer together through their “flash pact”. But will their antics lead to the two becoming even closer?
