“Cheri Maho The Movie: 30sai made Dotei dato Mahotsukai ni Narerurashii” will be released in theaters on April 8, 2022

Popular boys love manga “Cheri Maho” by mangaka Toyota Yuu will be adapted into a live move titled “Cheri Maho The Movie: 30sai made Dotei dato Mahotsukai ni Narerurashii” (known internationally as “Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!”) and will be released on April 8, 2022.

A popular TV Tokyo drama aired on October to December 2020 and won numerous awards. The film version will feature the original cast of the drama and new cast members to be announced soon.

Adachi Kiyoshi (portrayed by Akaso Eiji ) is a 30-year-old virgin who became a wizard that has the ability to hear the thoughts of other people by touching them.  He falls for his co-worker Kurosawa Yuichi (portrayed by Machida Keita ).

Akaso said of the film, “I was talking about wanting to do a sequel at the time of shooting ‘Cheri Maho’, but it finally came true. Thanks to everyone who loved ‘Cheri Maho’. Thank you. This work is my treasure that taught me the courage to take a step in the polite depiction of emotions and the importance of feelings for people. I’m really happy to be able to work on the work again with a wonderful team including Machida Keita, Director Kazama Hiroki, and producer Honma Kanami. Please enjoy it. ”
