Katori Shingo has gotten married

Actor, singer, artist and entrepreneur Katori Shingo (44) announced on the 28th through his agency that he has gotten married.

His partner is two years older and the two have dated for more than 25 years. She is a petite woman in her 40s and she was often seen with Katori at cafes and driving dates throughout Tokyo.

Since SMAP has disbanded, Katori has been busy with various works, from appearing in a drama, presenter at the 2020 Paralympics, appearing in an NHK Pacific War special drama “Rinatsuno Yamamoto Isoroku” to air on December 30th (his first leading role in an NHK drama in 17 years).

Katori is the fourth member of SMAP who has gotten married. Mori Katsuyuiki (47) married a woman two years after leaving SMAP in 1996, Kimura Takuya (49) married singer Kudo Shizuka back in December 2000 and has two daughters who are quite popular, Cocomi and Koki and Kusanagi Tsuyoshi (47) married a general female in her late 30s last year.
