The status of TV Tokyo drama “YouTuber ni Musume wa Yaran!” may be affected as 11 people involved in the drama tested positive for COVID-19.

TV Tokyo announced, “A total of 11 people involved in the drama “Youtuber ni Musume wa Yaran!”, which is broadcasted by our company are infected with the novel coronavirus. From January 22nd to 23rd, in addition to regular PCR tests during drama shooting , a program-related person who had symptoms such as fever visited a medical institution and conducted a PCR test which was positive. OF the 11 people, some are asymptomatic or mildly ill at the moment, and are receiving medical treatment at home. We have already taken necessary measures such as disinfection of related parts. We have been shooting the drama up to January 23. In regards to the future broadcast schedule, we will inform you again if there is a change. Our drama is shot in compliance with the guidelines for novel coronavirus infection control that stipulate regular PCR inspection, temperature measurement, diligent ventilation, etc.”.

As for the main actress of the drama, Sasaki Nozomi tested positive for the novel coronavirus according to her agency.

Episode 2 just aired on TV Tokyo.
