Kunimitsu Akira responds on why he divorced Kobayashi Maya

Many people learned through Kunimitsu Akira’s earlier blog post (as he wrote about Ichikawa Ebizo) that he and Kobayashi Maya divorced back in April 2021.

Considering the two are very close, what was the reason why they divorced? Kunimitsu wrote on his blog on March 21st, “Why did you get divorce? There are various things, but the main purpose was not a camouflaged divorce, but I can’t stand not being able to meet the two loved by her beloved Maya, so I divorced. However, I got divorced due to the return of Ebizo, but I’m on good terms, and Maya-chan can’t meet the two loved ones anymore”.

The two loved ones in reference is Ichikawa Ebizo and deceased wife Kobayashi Mao’s young daughter and son. After Kobayashi Mao’s passing, Maya was close to the children but when she married Kunimitsu Akira, Ichikawa Ebizo cut all ties to Maya (as he doesn’t agree with Kunimitsu’s belief in spiritual healing and rumors that Kobayashi was brainwashed by her then-husband).

This week, Kobayashi Maya released a blog post and YouTube videos targeted towards Ichikawa to please let her see the children, so they can know more about their mother. While Kunimitsu wrote two length blog posts about Ichikawa, painting him as a terrible person.

Today, “Jousei Seven” released an article of Ichikawa Ebizo dating multiple women during the time when restaurants were to close at 9 p.m. due to the spread of the novel coronavirus.
