KOEI TECMO Holdings announced that their employees will get an average basic salary increase of 23%

 

KOEI TECMO Holdings appears to be giving their employees a 23% raise.

According to the company statement, its in order to improve the motivation of employees and the starting salary for new graduates has been raised to 290,000 yen with special bonuses.

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment and CAPCOM have announced earlier of salary increases with BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment raising the basic salary of an employee from 232,000 yen  to 290,000 yen, while CAPCOM increased their basic annual salary by 30% to be on par with Nintendo.

But while the raises on paper look great, an acquaintance of someone who works at Koei Tecmo posted on Twitter, “Sure, the salary will go up, but the basic bonus will disappear instead, so if the grade goes down in the project evaluation or individual target evaluation, the amount of decrease in annual income will be huge.”
