Sakamoto Maaya and Suzumura Kenichi announced that their first child has been born

It was announced on the official website of voice actress/singer Sakamoto Maaya and husband, voice actor Suzumura Kenichi, via their entertainment agency “Fortune Rest”,  that the couple welcomed their first child.

The couple issued a statement, “To everyone who is always supporting us. The other day, we had a child. Both mother and child are fine. I would like to take steps step by step so that we can grow together with our children.”

Sakamoto and Suzumura got married in August 2011. In December 2021, the 10th year of their marriage, Sakamoto announced that she had her first child at the age of 41. She then revealed that she had been instructed by her doctor to give herself absolute rest for the months leading up to her giving birth.
