Kinoshita Takayuki of the comedy group TKO was in Vietnam and his Hermes wallet was stolen along with money and important cards.  The total damage was 2.7 million y en ($19,644 US).

Kinoshita was visiting Vietnam for 3 nights and 4 days and was advised by a friend to be careful because there are many pickpockets and he was careful not to carry his wallet.

But on the final day of his trip, he went to a shopping center with 500,000 yen in his backpack. When he was sitting on the bench to take a break, someone sitting back-to-back opened the zipper through a flowerbed.

Four criminals then followed him when he headed to the bathroom and because the open pocket was where his wallet was at, the robbery was shown through a surveillance camera in the shopping center.

His wallet contained his driver’s license and insurance card. The wallet was an Hermes Crocodile wallet worth 2.2 million yen.

While Kinoshita said he could make back the money, the most painful is losing the wallet which was a gift from a loved one.
